Before submitting a complaint

Anybody can submit a complaint, but certain requirements must be fulfilled in order for NCP Denmark to process the complaint.

What you need to know before filing a complaint

In order for NCP Denmark to process your complaint, your complaint needs to:
•    concern a Danish corporation, authority, or organization
•    fall within the scope of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, which cover areas such as human and labour rights, international environmental standards, and anti-corruption.

Do you need more information?

Contact NCP Denmark's secretariat

Find the OECD Guidelines here.

Anybody can submit a complaint. If you are an NGO, a customer, an employee, or an ordinary private person, you can file a complaint.

Remember that your complaint must be submitted in writing with the name and contact information of the person filing the complaint. You cannot remain anonymous when filing a complaint. However, if necessary, NCP Denmark can anonymise the complaint towards other parties.

You can file a complaint against a Danish corporation, authority, or organization.

The complaint must concern non-observance of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, which cover areas such as human and labour rights, international environmental standards, and anti-corruption.

Non-observance of the Guidelines can occur directly through the accused corporation, authority, or organization’s own activities, or more indirectly through value chains or business partners.

The incident must have taken place within the last five years.

You must enclose reasonable documentation when submitting a complaint. This can e.g. be:
•    Correspondences regarding the issue you are complaining about
•    Specialist studies
•    Photo or video documentation
•    Etc.

If NCP Denmark assesses that your complaint lacks sufficient documentation, NCP Denmark will advice you on the additional documentation needed.

You are welcome to contact NCP Denmark if you are in doubt about whether you have sufficient documentation for a complaint.

It is free to submit a complaint to NCP Denmark. There is no complaints fee.

NCP Denmark will - if possible - make an initial assessment of your complaint within two weeks.

You will then be informed whether NCP Denmark will accept the complaint for further processing or reject it.
